Possible new toy.

Post by maff »

A local lad has a Mitsubishi 3000GT (GTO) Turbo with an engine that's lost oil pressure up for sale cheapish.

The shell looks mostly rust free, which after all the welding on the 200 is nice, I was thinking about it as a cheap toy.

So anyone know anything about them?

And how much is worth offering?

There's turbo engines on eBay for for about

I think the only guy on here who may still own one is Martyn; I'm sure he still pops on from time to time so it may be worth a PM his way?

A friend of mine used to have one and it always impressed with it's torque and top end speed. I was used to my GTR at the time and I could never get my head around how his car used to accelerate in fifth; mind boggling!

I love the sound of them and they look like a real 90s Jap sports car !!

Pretty rare also. I'm always biased to go for Jap stuff so I'd say yes ;)

I remember having a test ride in one years ago before the Nissans came on the scene. Seemed pretty mental at the time :D

Only thing that worried me at the time was all the electronic gubbins they come with.

My mate had a couple of these. Heavy, slow and horrible to work on.
