Audi TT basic valet

Post by Stuart »

Want to see what about 3-4 hours of my time will get you? Well, this owner wanted a basic exterior valet to remove some scratches on the bonnet, flat spots on the bonnet and roof, and also to get some protection on there for the forthcoming lousy weather!

Inspection prior to cleaning
Flat and dull paint......I would never have thought that this was metallic until you got up really close

One of many deep scratches on the bonnet

Coloured polishing compound from a previous attempt to sort the paint (it also goes some way to explaining the crap and dull finish)

Typical grime build up in the recesses by the windscreen wipers and rear spoiler

Alloys and arches were dirty but nothing out of the ordinary so the usual routine could be applied here

Two bucket wash followed by detox of paintwork, and a single stage polish to remove the scratches, flat spots and poo etching. Alloys were cleaned inside and out, tyres were dressed, arches were cleaned and the glass was also polished

Once again, the owner has asked me to book him in on a monthly basis to improve upon the Audi's condition and to boost the protection next month (time and budget didn't allow for that today)
