Hi All,

I joined this forum a while ago when I had my 350z, I thought about tracking the Zed but I was worried about tracking such an expensive car. After alot of thinking I sold the Zed, bought a diesel for a DD and a RX7 for track use. I am just getting ready for my first track day...

Anyway here are some pictures of the rex as it stands currently....

That is simply superb :)
I have a real soft spot for FD3's and your example looks superb. What sort of spec are you running? (Boost, turbo, brakes, suspension etc)
I've noticed some nice bits on there, and it's unusual to see RX8 seats swapped in
Where is your first track event?

We have a meet on September 1st @ APT so it would be great to see you there.

Horrid bumper mate, get rid of it but not to Chris ;)
Good to see you on here from the other side. The previous owner took a lot of time and effort to put proper JDM parts in it which is cool. I love the RX8 seats in it, they fit pretty well.

How are you finding the turbo power compared to the 350z ?

The previous owner really put alot of work into this car as you can see.

Its a very different drive to the Zed, alot lighter, alot more responsive handling wise, engine wise Zed was alot more torquey but there feels like with the rex the power never ends. I did love the sound of the Zed and its a really good GT car, but on a country road the rex is so much fun! The rex as you can see has an external waste gate and a screamer pipe and my god its loud :D :D :D

Gotta be honest I had a turbo car before the Zed, I really missed having boost so I am happy to be back! The previous owner said the rex was producing 430bhp @ 0.8 BAR at the wheels... I am not sure the bhp figure its that high. I might get it dyno'ed soon possibly at APT on he 1st as I do plan on making an apperance as its just down the road from me.

I am planning on going to RAF Marham next weekend, its bargin for a track day and its a good place for me to learn abit more about the rex as there is alot of space!

So far I have removed a load of stickers as they were not to my taste, removed the roof spolier, had to replace the turbo oil feed line as it was leaking and this week I will putting new pads, racing brake fluid and braided brakes lines on the car as the brakes lines are 20 year old rubber ones!!! no ta!

I will prob start a build thread soon as there is a few bits I wanna sort of the car.

If you're running marham don't forget to wrap the front of your car to protect it from stone chips and maybe a spare set of tyres :)
