Snow chains

Post by Stuart »

Any got any, getting any, tried any?

Now I have a rear wheel drive, auto, two tonne missile I kind of fancy a set for when it gets a bit dicey!!. This morning was a bit 'memorable' and that was just some ice..............I was actually a bit scared at one point :)

Any thoughts as I about to man up and get some of these

Yeah, yeah....I just reckon that chains will be a bloody sight cheaper and more convenient. I haven't got a spare set of wheels and tyres knocking about (yet) ;) I know that winter tyres are cool ( I seem to remember having this chat with you ;) ) but I thought I would ask the broad church that is BP what they have experience of.

Spay on grip? WTF?

Anywho, i got a set of Avon Ice Touring STs for the Mrs 270 for 4 IIRC, which is why the MG is now wearing Golf GTI wheels. No idea how they go in the snow as we havnt had any yet :/

I was looking at chains for the BM but the tyres are so close to the arches I decided that they wouldn't work.

Might try some of that spray on chain though :D
