My cars fitted with HIDs but no washers so that's a fail.
Ok we all know about emissions because of CATs but with the likes of the scoobies that have 2 you take 1 out and still pass the emissions but fail the MOT because 1 is missing.
It's a fail if you replace your steering wheel that had an air bag with an aftermarket wheel with no air bag.
I know it doesn't really affect anyone on here but you do away with the door handles for the smooth look it's a fail.
Like you mentioned Stu fixed bucket seat = fail

There's loads of changes to the MOT (all I do is MOT's). So even more BS to make my job harder!

As per usual there will be a bucket load of grey areas.

Don't forget the average tester will not know how many cat's a car has fitted as standard. It's very unlikely that that info will be available on the VT40 for the tester to see. If in doubt then fit an aftermarket undertray, If it's not visable then it can't be tested.Tonynos wrote: Ok we all know about emissions because of CATs but with the likes of the scoobies that have 2 you take 1 out and still pass the emissions but fail the MOT because 1 is missing.
Maybe so (they look shit), but the advisories are on the same sheet as the pass certificate. So if you're selling a car then it's impossible to hide any future problems from the new owner. + the cert and previous certs are available online.IWANT1 wrote:How about the daft new mot certs they look shocking!
