Running a 6 cylinder engine on an ECU only designed for 4?

My mate has an S13 which runs a G4 Link ECU, the guy who mapped it clearly knows what he is doing as the car flies and has taken months of abuse. My mate is now toying with sticking an RB25 in it and keeping the ecu and getting it mapped as a three cylinder with the possibility of a seventh injector.

I've never heard of this being done before has anyone else?

firing injectors in pairs basically,will be very poor fueling control if hes planning on big injectors

not a nice thing to do
