BP Donations

Post by Rob S »

I've seen on other forums the ability for people to add to club coffers via PayPal or similar, and I know even though times are hard, this might be a way of adding to funds for servers, administration costs, and other such things that get forgotten about when it comes to running a forum.
I'd be up for a donation, and I think many others would be as well seeing as there's no membership to pay at the moment.

So there's a conversation topic to mull over, discuss and maybe help the club.

I wouldn't mind making a donation but why not just bring the membership fee back in? A yearly membership charge or if some people can not afford it all in one go let it be paid quarterly or 6 monthly.

We dropped the membership as we felt that we couldn't really justify it based on us not having as many meets or sessions (saying that the marham thing alone would be worth the membership lol) ... Stu and I just felt we weren't able to deliver enough to justify a subscription.

Rob, thank you for posting this suggestion ..

I agree with why not bring membership back if the club needs it?

Fuck yeah! Was a properly good day out
Is there the not the possibility of donating and hiring a runway/airfield for the day?
After the epic win that was Marham, It's got to be worth a shout?

I really don't have a problem with an annual subscription and my income has probably dropped a damn sight more than most in the last 18months.

If donations are the way you wish to proceed then you need to give an indication of the level you have in mind and how they will be collected i.e. Pay Pal, debit/credit card or even filthy cash.

Regardless of the option(s) we do need to try and encourage more social interaction, away from the Forum and get out playing in our cars after all isn't that the objective of Big Power?
