Promotional video

Post by pablo »

I have always wanted a promotional type video of our car and team at a Time Attack event and after seeing Ben's excellant video from the recent autotest event got me thinking.

How about putting a short video together featuring some of the cars and events that BP members take part in. Competative and fun events. This could then be put on facebook, youtube, the web as a way to advertise what we do and what we're about.

Just a thought:)

Yep totally agree, the issue has been not having enough good quality video (I mean quality with regards format ... I've collected different bits of video over the last few years however the older format's are poor .. now with the current camera's we can get a good consistent quality - the autotest has given me a good selection of footage to pool, but I need more of the other things we do, plus more focus on people.

Agree totally with Ben the old cameras have been very mixed quality. It's not until recently where the gopros have revolutionised the Market for onboard cameras. You only need to look at any of the top drift events in the world and practically all cars have oneor more stuck on the cars.

Also a lot of people are using dslrs for video now as the quality on these is good.

I think the biggest problems have been lack of events but more importantly the inability to get close enough to the action. Not many tracks let people film close to the track without press passes which can cost a fortune.

Definitely worth doing something though.

magic - I've got two Gopro's .. Dan, don't forget your camera :) - that will make three ...

only thing is that snetterton don't allow camera's that aren't bolted in !! .. so a group purchase of roll cage gopro mounts maybe be required ...

I think we may need clarification from James on this- is it a Snett-only rule, or an MSV one? And is it for any type of circuit use, or just trackdays?

Only reason I ask is that the previous round of the MLR Sprint Series was held at Oulton Park (albeit the Rally section), also an MSV circuit, and during the lunch-break they did some filming using suction-mounted camera's-

Just wondered if the rule is the same for a closed circuit with only one car running at a time? :)
Finishing off the Ford ;)
