TA - Is now getting serious

Post by pablo »

Damn....Just finished reading the 22 page sporting regulations for TA. Even your support vehicle has to clean and presentable, (but it's a frontera:redface:)

Drivers have to wear race suits on the podium, the driver has to be with the car during pitlane walkabouts (public) and be wearing his race suit.....

The livery on your car has to be acceptable and of a good appearance. Think i better email them a pic of the car.....'STREETRACERS'.

Oh...and then there's the 'FINES'. (Al. you are so shaving before TA...lol)

It just doesn't feel like the easy access form of motorsport that it used to be. Before it came under the msa understanding all the Do's and Don'ts was easy now everything says 'as per msa 1.3.2'.

I've looked into several forms of door to door racing and a lot of the rules that have put me off are now in TA. they really need to drop all the mumbo jumbo jargon and go back to writing the rules in simple non threatening, plain speaking english.

What happened to turning up, doing your best and having a bit of fun?
Along with poor choice of tyres and now these ridiculous rules, What the hell are TA trying to achieve? I can’t help but think that it’ll just put people off competing!
PS
They even put V.A.T on top of the fines ffs
PPS
If Pablo turns up to an event in that suit then he deserves to be fined :smilielol5:

Wanted to have a mini buffet at snetterton to say thank you to everyone.....Na, not allowed,,,,,,Can only feed the team.
