Be careful with Anti Lag !

Post by duncan »

ok taking it step by step...

1 - use anti lag for fun and in anger at TOTB
2 - weld breaks loose on headers:

3 - headers expand with glowing white hot from anti lag... :

4 - fan unit catches fire and fire goes out on the cool down from the last corner to the paddock and is just smoking when I come in.

5 - cut off offending portion and patch up wiring and replace fuse ....

but the rad at the corner by the headers was also damaged and has now started leaking grrr

1 x Angle grinder and some electrical tape for the fan.

1 x new headers

and now it seems a new rad too ... so yeah quite expensive :(

Lucky the fire blew out!! So you'll be getting those headers Zircotec'd in and out or get these guys to fabricate some custom Inconel headers for you. :D

or you could turn als off with egt,we set rally cars to do this

also has a max time that it runs for before it turns off the timing retard and then just holds it on lower rpm limiit till you open throttle again,

done so if you crash with it turned on it doesnt keep running and every thing catches fire!!
