Other ways to remove bottom ball joint?

Post by James Breadvan »

What other ways can remove my bottom ball joint? Tried a splitter, tightened it hard and it didn't budge. The threaded part is now fucked as it had so much pressure applied to it and now the spiltter just slides off as soon as its wound down.

Properly fucked off with my civic, it's been just as flakey as my R5 GT turbo was years ago. It's coming close to getting a beating with 5ft put log I borrowed from work :machinegun:

Have you tried hitting the part of the hub that the shaft of the ball joint is in while pressure is applied?

If you are replacing the ball joint get hold of the two pronged type of splitter and hammer f### out of it.
