Bought one of these from Halfords from their Professional range:
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... ryId_76863
Half price and a lifetime no quibbles gtee.
Fed up with rounding nuts and breaking stuff and always not having the right tool.
Really pleased with it 8)
Treated myself to some good tools

I killed all my 10mm sockets the other day trying to undo the thermostat bolts and dropped my 12mm socket into the engine bay somewhere  so I had to get some new ones - this seemed like the complete lot. The only thing missing from what I can see is a 14mm ratchet spanner but I have lived this long without one I guess I will survive

Given my trade i have 90% of my stuff from Snap-On. It has cost me a fortune... however i too have a set of Halfords Professional spanners and cant fault them for quality.
Its not Snap-On quality but its damn close and for the money i think you be far pressed to better their professional range.
Nice purchase Dunc.

I have 3 sets of rachet spanners from SnapOn and Britool that i keep very close to my heart recently bought for my WRX-STi conversion. Stubby combination from Britool, double ended angled rings from SnapOn and combination flexible from SnapOn.
Bloody good tools, all brand new, and got great deals off Ebay for similar money to Halfrauds equivalent which i think are also very good as i have some Halfrauds flexible extension bars and metric sockets. :smt060
That 150piece Professional set looks really good for starting off a nice collection :thumb:
P.S. Duncan..... I have a pen with a long retractable rod and flexible magnet on the end which has fished out many screws, nuts, spanners etc...from my engine bay. Only cost
