elvington 5th july

Post by garetgax »

Just booked elvington for the 5th july as its a good place for both me and the mrs really get to grips with the car with minimal risk. Anyone else fancy joining us?

Bad timing I'm afraid, same weekend as Time Attack at Oulton Park.

yeah I know mate, thought it might be good for the less experienced guys and gals out there. Its one of the reasons im doing it gives me a better chance to get used to the car and michelle will be having a proper go as well as its a safe environment so to speak.

Elvington, like most airfield venues, is mega abrasive on tyres. Make sure you keep an eye on the pressures and or take some spares. The organisers should be able to advise you better on this aspect of the day.

thx m8 any advice is much appreciated. Ill have four new corners bar the usage from snetterton on the car and ill prob only be doing 5 laps or so at a time as its open pitlane. What pressure do you reckon I was going to start at 28 psi and keep an eye on it. going to invest in a pressure gauge, already got an auto inflator. Will be looking for some cheap 17's for track wheels but for now Ill just have to take it easy :D
