The Cheiftain Sprint

Post by Gerry H »

Their spelling not mine

Anyone else received regs for this or indeed, doing it?

Easter Monday, 24th March at Longcross Test Track, Chertsey, Surrey. Near M25 J10

Never done this course but it sounds pretty formidable with reverse cambers, banked section, 'enormous crrest at the top of the hill' in a 2.5 mile course.

A round of Hamilton Classic, ACSMC, MG Car Club Champs. Good viewing areas for spectators

Max numbers is 130 but it fills quickly 'last year we were oversubscribed by 50 entries'. This is organised by Team Tempest / Sutton & Cheam Motor Club. Team Tempest organise the Carnival Sprint at Abingdon in June. A round of the JISC. If the timing gear holds out, it should run pretty smoothly :)

2 practice runs followed by 3 timed. Entry fee: Up to 16th March

I've just seen it's also a round of the AEMC Champ. so I'll definitely do it, Logan & Kim probably will too. It's a fair distance for me but as I've never been therre before.

Spectators need to be there before 9:00 :o
