Tyre size question

Post by Econ »

I am just about to order a new set of 18"'s for my R34 GTT now I am not to sure what profiles I should have on the tyres. I am going for Toyo T1's and was going to have the following profiles

Rear - 255/40/18
Front - 225/45/18

Can any confirm is this the correct profile to have or is there a better option?

Thanks

That sounds fine, you could go wider depending on the width of your alloys. The sizes you have suggested are the cheapest set up though, and Toyo's are def a good choice..

what alloys are you going for?

Generally speaking, if you go up in width by 20mm you go down in profile by 5.

so 255/40 will be pretty much the same rolling radius as 235/45.

AFAIK anyway.
