Graham's Impreza and Cobra

Post by Graham STi V4 RA »

Hello Everyone

I've just registered on the forum and was asked to show a few piccy's of my cars.

The Impreza is my current car which I have only had for a couple of months. I imported it through Newera Imports and had a great day out at the recent RAF Marham track day. Being a RA it should have around 280hp? (Still to be confirmed) and feels really quick, although the speed limiter set at 120mph drove me nuts on the day (This is definately going to go). Otherwise a fantastic car which makes me smile everytime I drive it.

I sold the Cobra last year after a few years of monstrous fun which included a couple of trips around Rockingham with the Cobra Club. Absolutely fantastic car with around 420hp. Being married with a teenage son, we just could not use it as a family, he was just too big to fit in the boot  Also I felt the engine had more power than the chassis could handle. Sadly I felt I needed a more "Family" orientated car....... So I brought the Impreza... Hope you like the pictures.

You should have sold your son and kept the Cobra

Just joking.

Both look great, the Impreza looks really clean and that Cobra just looks awesome !!!

Nice Cobra! Yes definitely should have sold the son & kept the Cobra - only kidding...
I've seen that Cobra around but not yet at any meetings - who owns it now? :?
Mine only has a meagre 240bhp soon to be uprated to 280/300 by the end of year (I hope - if funds allow) so 420bhp must have been completely mental. :o

Thanks guys.

Although I miss the power and sound of the Cobra, the Impreza is I think a better trackday car.

Hopefully see you all soon

Cheers

Hi Graham
You can find some very recent photos of my car here: http://www.bigpower.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3014 . When I bought the car, I actually preferred the look of the later cars however, through being biased or becoming acquainted with my car, I much prefer the earlier look now! I think it is a more track/race ready look compared to the later cars (v5 and v6 STIs) which are a bit more smoothed off and *bling* if you know what I mean. Please, any v5 or 6 owners, don
