** BigPower 1/4 mile evening July 18th - PAYMENTS REQ

Post by Stuart »

I'll confirm more details when I have them but we have managed to convince the powers that be to give us our own 1/4 mile event at Snetterton on July 18th between 5.30pm and 7.30pm!

I have been in contact with Straightliners* to provide the staging lights and timing gear for the event and should have that finalised within the next few days. We would run the circuit anti-clockwise, one car at a time as per the Tuner GP. We would start near the bridge going up the back straight with plenty of braking running up to Sears and leading around Riches.

Realistically I would say that we can run no more than 40 cars but you should all get at least 3 runs, probably a fair few more. I'll leave the logistics to Straightliners and Snettertons advice, but it looks like it should be a cracking event.

This will be on the same night as our monthly meet and you should be at the circuit about 30 minutes earlier to get signed in.

At this point it will be run on a non-profit making basis as normal. We are only looking to cover circuit expenses (hire, safety staff etc) and the fee that Straightliners will charge for their equipment and services. If we cannot get enough people taking part I wil have two choices
a) cancel the event
b) offer it out to other clubs/participants
