Zafira Turbo Problem ?

hi all , can any one help ? i have a zafira gsi turbo when i accelerate hard i seem to loose some power as i go through the gears . its as if somthing is holding me back and then it goes ok then again and so on . does that make sense ? can you help im not sure what it could be i just hope its not the turbo............... :grin:

check all the hoses for air leaks first?

do these have boost gauges as standard?

OK - it's unlikely to be the turbo - you don't get intermittent turbo faults as either the bearings/hoses whatever have gone, or they haven't.

Is it different at high/low revs? Under load or not. DOes it always happen the same? Hot or cold running?

I'd check the usual suspects - fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs. WHen were they last changed?

Could be a faulty air flow meter or the connection to it????? Is the car not still under Vauxhall warranty?

I have a 300bhp Zafira.Its prob the boost Control side of things.I have boost out of range alot,and it bleeds of the boost very harshly!! Is the car standard??
Standard boost is 0.7 bar hold 0.9 peak. Does your t/c light come on?? If the light come on your AMM has gone which is a very commom problem with the Z20LET engine.

YHPM.Give me a call and we can see if we can find the problem,i've got loads of sapre etc!!
