It looks like he may be in temporary need of a set of loan wheels [-o< - this could be as simple as a faulty valve on one of the rays rims that got swapped over when the original punctured tyre was replaced, hence the puncture fairy visiting lucky Jim twice in as many days  .

Trouble is rays have got special valves :x

like i offered if they fit you can use them :thumb:
I know Kev - yourself Ben and Nik have all made the kind offer of some loaners (speaks volumes for the quality of the people here) - the statement above was just a heads up - it just depends on what Jim wants to/can do today - his phone ran out of credit last night before I could find out how he wanted to play it

sorry about that mark

i will see what the tyre boys have got to say?

in the mean time i have no idea where i could get a replacement valve for these volks?

i need 4 new tyres on and a swap would seriously put me out of pocket.

i will have more info when they call in for the new tyres.

thanks for all your help and advise guys :thumb:

ok.

i am coming to the conclusion that the front drivers wheel had the initial leaking valve which cut the first tyre.

they took that one out of the boot and started to remove the carcass.

they then lifted the left side and removed the passenger wheel.

i now think in all the hustle and bustle, the drivers wheel got put on the passenger side as this was the first tyre to recieve a new boot and the passenger side was first to be jacked up.

so the offending valve was put on the opposite side.

thus it leaked and thus cut the tyre up again.

i might take ben up on his offer of his old GTR rims, and leave mine off until i can get a new volk valve.

again, i will hope to get 225's fitted all round with minimal fuss this morning and see how i can get bens wheels to mine in time for tonight?

you lot are bloody marvelous :D

When do you want to collect them ... as to valves .. you don't need any special super duper ones ... a valve is a valve .. the one's on my valves are a rubber valve with a metal sleeve to make them look expensive.

I was going to be leaving work @ 15:30 today so that i could bomb over to Snetterton ... I'll see if I can leave earlier .. I know I have a meeting from 14:00 to 15:00 though.

Ring me later mate.

I've also got 20 standard nuts for the standard wheels.

the volk valves are thinner than normal ones.

i should have tyres on my wheels by midday.

i take it the wheels are at yours?

i can call you before your 2pm meeting to make better arrangements?
