as already said it was the 3 club Donington TrackDay on 5/3/07.
I was there as part of MLR
It was my first trackday as a driver
I was totally unprepared for track driving. A lot more demanding than road driving .... concentration levels were very high and after 6 laps or so after a couple of warmup laps I felt I needed to pit for a break.
Took me a while to learn to use the whole width of the track, had to keep an eye out for faster cars coming through soI could pull over, first time things got a bit "wiggly" I slid off on to the grass (no damage thankfully)
After that my confidence was at an all time low. I had an instructor give me tuition which basically told me i need to practice on everything, lol
I went out in a friends race-prepped 600bhp Evo with my tuner as the driver, and that was amazing. I don't think the laws of physics applied to that Evo. Then iI was a passenger as he drove my Evo and it felt like a different car to when I was driving it.
After that I went back out driving for a couple of sessions and things felt like they were coming back together .... but I'm not at a point yet where I am handy with any sliding / drifting / wiggling / whatever the technical terms are
So I need to improve my track driving.... any ideas ? other than just more track time ?

sounded great fun though - experience will solve it for you along with tuition when you are there.
Good for you for getting out there and doing it - feels great driving one of the ebst circuits in the UK like a proper racing driver doesnt it ? ... it amazes me after every one
