Sounds to me like you have been right royaly ufcked around!!

What a waste of time and money they have been, and sounds like lousy service too if they can't be arsed to get customers orders out the door on time.

If i were them i would feel very embarrassed to tell a customer the office girl left it in her car and forgot to post it. Sounds like total tosh to me and i would now be surprised if you ever see a pump from this lot!! Demand your money back and tell them to stuff their PS pump!! What a bunch of complete unprofessionals!!!

Based on your feedback and experience of Central Subaru i'll never be buying parts from that lot!!
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

Waiting now for another execution date!!:headhack:

done some more phoning around today.

1st.
Scoobybits, not happy with them at all really.
i was told i would get my refund on monday, so i called up today (tuesday) to see what happened to it.
Now the bloke says he wont be able to refund me for about 2 weeks!!! yes 2 weeks!!! so thet would be about a month after i send the faulty pump back.
as scoobybits are moving and he is working long days etc etc.
what a load of sh*t i was thinking, its not my problem, it is his. how long would it take to do a paypal refund? 5 mins max.

2nd
central subaru.
I was thinking after i called him on saturday again to find out what has happened to the pump, and being told about it being left in the girls car, he would of got it out to me asap. monday came and nothing, now tuesday and again no pump. so i called him up. he said he sent it out yesterday by parcelforce and i should get it tomorrow.
So thispump has taken over a week to come.

if it is not here tomorrow, what do i do, go to the Jay Gee power steering place, and let them sort me out, or weight until thursday, and see if the pump come from central subaru?

I need my car to be fully working by friday, as i have got alot on this weekend, that i can not miss :(

rant over for now

got the replacemnt pump today from central subaru. but the one they have sent, does not have a sender on it.
so in my engine i have a pulg, that should go to the pump, that is not being used.

anyone know what this sender is for? temp maybe?

the settering is better than before, but it still is not 100%

i am going to Jay Gee tomorrow to get one of my pumps refurbed, and hopefully the steering will be back to full working order.

just to tripple check, there is not a special/hidden way to put these on/bleed them is there?
I have just been doing it the way i have been told on here and scoobynet

thanks
ian

Hopefully you get this sorted soon mate [-o<

1.Does the pump have any blanking plugs in it, an Evo has a large one on the top of the pump that i had to crack off when bleeding my system.
2.Are you running a standard tank as my spec-r gave me endless problems...

no blanking plugs on the top of the tank.

the tank is a little different, same style as standard, but it has been power coated black.

this was the reason i started to touch it in the first place.

i brought a black power coated header tank, and pas tank.

since i change that, i have had nothing apart from problems :(

the tank is 100% the same apart from being a black power coat. i have checked the return on the lid, and it is clear.

here is a link to it.

Does the PUMP have and unions/blanks on not used, not the tank???

Does the tank have a baffle inside my problems all were due to the "bling" tank not having one causing the pump to draw in air when cornering.

nope, nothing like that at all.

today the power steering was there, but not working fully.

i.e one second it is working, when the reves drop to low, it goes hard, rev up abit, and it is back for a few seconds.

it is working better than the pump i took off.

if all goes well, getting my pump reconed tomorrow, and this will solove the problem.

this is such a simple job compaired to what i have done on my car so far, but it is really testing me to see how far i can cope. and the two dealers i have said about in the posts above, did not help at all
