Got sent a few teaser pics from Neil @ T-Logic of the rotated kit mid build.
Uppipe is Inconell and modified from my GT spec one. The rest of the kit is in stainless. Hopefully i'll collect this tomorrow night and post some better pics.

Im sure you'll agree it looks rather nice. Im getting quite excited now :)

Just stopped by the powdercoaters on the way home to collect some of my parts. There is alot more that were still too hot to take home, so i'll collect them when i can.

Im delighted with the finish on these, i couldnt help but unwrap some parts to take some photos to show you guys.

Here you can see the cam covers in complete matte finish, the gloss finish on the x-over and the machine silver on the alternator.

All parts are one of these 3 colours.

The quality of finish really is nice, im quite pleased :)

Okay guys, heres tonights work.

Itching to see the new look i fitted the x-over pipe and the water temp sender, im liking the gloss blck on the new block.
I got the final 2 buckets reground to spec so they got dropped in and the final clearances re checked. All good. So then the relevant cam caps were sealed up and all torqued to spec. Cam seals went in.
Valve clearances checked one last time before the covers went on.
Covers went on with all new gaskets and seals inside and out. These were all sealed up and torqued to spec.
Once ive colected the rest of the parts from the powdercoaters which include the water pipes we can progress some more.
Its all looking rather good now i must say. :)

Frayz.

Firstly awesome build. Very special indeed. Great project thread.

Been reading this thread very carefully and i have to say that this is not only a very well thought out build, and to a tight budget no doubt, but your attention to detail not just in the finish but in the putting together itself is phenominal. Love the custom exhaust system. In fact love everything, fantastic!!

What is the planned/projected bhp/torque output for this motor once it's all completed?? With the 800cc squirters i imagine somewhere around 500-550 possibly?? With the bits you've used it's going to be pretty strong.

Look forward to more installments
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

Waiting now for another execution date!!:headhack:

Thanks very much mate. I dare say there will be things that i have overlooked but i have tried to think everything through as much as possible. Im no stranger to putting the odd engine together so this is the straight forward bit for me.
The 800cc injectors have been sold in place of some 1000cc items from Injector dynamics of which i believe will see me way into the 600s if i wanted to.

However with the spec i have put together i will be happy to pass 500bhp and extatic to pass 550bhp. Its all very well having all the fancy parts but unless you can get them to work well together then its no walk in the park.
Huge bhp figures are banded around these days like its easy to achieve and in some cases they are (within reason).
However its not lost on me what it takes to take a relitively small displacemnt engine past the magic 500bhp barrier so i really am not holding my breath for any figures.
Id like to say that my target is a solid 550bhp and 500lbsft.

Anything more than that will be a huge bonus.
More than anything i can say that i specced and built everything myself and that will be the icing on my cake :)

Thanks for following though mate, positive feedback is always appreciated and makes it all worth while. Especially when the light at the end of the tunnel is a little way off. :)
