Hi Carl,

Would be great to see you competing next year, in what sounds like a fairly serious Rex! Sounds like good power and just about all the mods allowed in that class. Next class up is 1B tyres and/or stripped interior, requiring a cage.

My 300bhp impreza is going to need its power hike asap

naa you should be ok mate, traction can be a bit of a nightmare for me, depends on the circuits really, it puts the power down pretty well but only because its extremely progressive with the delivery, and because of that it means i have no "punch" out of corners. To combat that i have to keep the revs high and if i do that then i get wheelspin... lol

Should be interesting, i cant wait to compete! Has anyone got any in car videos of events?

Andy, my car is only running circa 320bhp, and the championship winner Kim had a completely boggo Evo MR320, so it not all about power

Hmm, I wonder how comparable the (Power Engineering) dyno run is to yours Logan. Mine engine is stock STi4 apart from pipe and filter. Hoping to have an ESL remap at some point, but will be sticking with topmount I think. Yours should be quite a bit more I would have thought.

Anyway, no more racers' excuses, roll on March!

Andy (ESL) has a vid here: http://www.clubracer.co.uk/scoob2.wmv

We all had about 320bhp (or thereabouts, except John Start, he had another 40hp. And Bills 996, he had another 160!). Ask Carl for his BTG time, he's quick!

380hpish RX7 with 6 point harnesses and race seats, coilovers, anti roll bars, AP 6 pots, bigger intercooler aftermarket ECU uprated fuel injection swirl pot uprated pump small battery but full interior, road tyres, standard windows and no roll cage

What sort of things will i be up against?
Er, actually your RX7 is only a 1.3L so with 50% loading for a turbo you're still under 2.0L

So you'll be up against poor old Ben in his Honda :o

No he won't Gerry as Ben is in the Un-modified class :!:

Alos, don't they judge the Rex to be a 2.6 in this country :?: :?:

I was thinking MSA classes as that's how he'll be entering the event. The JISC and it's classes is secondary and just adds cnfusion :D

I don't know how the MSA designate a rotary engine for size but I've been under the impression that the RX7 is registered and taxed as a 1.3L

Ahh okay, I am getting confused :!:

Hmm, maybe Carl or another RX7 owner can shed some light on that! With their fuel buring capabilities tho I would want it to be cheaper tax!!!

mine is registered and taxed as a 1.3, insurance however classifies it as a 2.6.

Ill go in whatever class you tell me to. I feel it unfair for me to go in the sub 2l class, but rules are rules so if thats where i go thats where i go!

Are there no other RX7s that run so we can get an idea of where i go?

Thanks for the comments about my BTG lap...its not necessarily me thats quick though, the car helps ALOT...so its more that.
