I've tried the bleeding heart routine :D

I'll have to find someone to get it repaired and repainted :)

You could try emailing Matt at Newera, they have a container leaving soon and could get you a bumper from Japan.

With regards to the respray Scott, I would strongly suggest you take the car down there when you take the bumper too. The bumper has faded slightly compared to the front wings (which is pretty normal mate).

Couple of minor updates as it's quiet for a while :)

I've got a brand new gearbox on the way from the US to replace the notchy/grinding one I have :D

Next thing is I'm tempeted to get a carbon bonnet. I'd normally go for the the plain version, but one of the main reasons for getting one is the vents and be able to let some heat out of the engine bay! What do you reckon to this?

Love the bonnet.......hate the eyebrows!! :)
You could always get the bonnet painted in due course if you wanted to later on........I'm not normally a fan of unpainted 'carbon' panels these days but with your colour it should look lovely.

Will you be importing this or getting one from the likes of Aero-kit?

That carbon bonnet looks good mate, though I'd be cautious of some manufacturers carbon products. My VIS carbon bonnet has faded like a 2008 X Factor finalist and now looks just as shit!

The repeated application of UV protective sealants will help here Pez, but most of the damage I have seen in this respect is caused by general neglect, stone chips causing water ingress and engine heat. Crap quality doesn't help of course, but there is a fair bit that can be done to help :)

Cool, though it won't be stone chips (unless some little feckers' have been throwing them at the bonnet) and won't be engine heat as....well....it doesn't work

though it could be water/snow I suppose

I've just opted for the 'hide with shit vinyl' method. It would be nice if I could get it back to how it looked when new though

bottom of list I'm afraid to say

I think this bonnet ^^^^ in the pic looks like a quality piece of kit, is it actually a Charge Speed product? I would have thought that they would have a decent level of UV resistance

Cheers lads, it is a genuine charge speed, I've asked SRB Power for a price. Definitely no eye brows!

Most of the cheaper bonnets just have a massive vent in the middle which I don't think will work on a stock bodied car :)

There is a pretty high chance that it can be polished up with something like Menzerna, Scholl or Autosmart compounds and a DA. I've even got reasonable results using the Autosmart polish by hand, so DA would make it much much easier.

Worst case scenario grab yourself a roller and some camo paint  (Worked for me)
