I hope kimi gets good results but think alonso might be given prefference if he is behind and points are needed....

vettel will be up there for sure.....

back to the booing... I cant think of any other driver who would get the treatment for doing so well..... its just him and his "spoilt brat" image because of the issues with webber....

No idea who the front runners wil be in 2014 although I do think the Grosjean will be the dark horse and could well through a spanner in the works of the top drivers. Now that he realised he's in F1 and not a stock car derby he's showing that he does have natural speed.

Perez is a little gunhoe and reminds me of Massa a few years back.

Hamilton needs to be paid per point. When he was hungry to be world champion he was a real threat to everyone. Now that he is rated as a top driver has millions in the bank he has the attitude that he deserves to be No1.

Alonso is hungry to be world champion again.

Listern to the radio chatter.
Hamilton........Tyres are gone....cars unstable etc..
Alonso.......... Right no more radio talk (Silverstone last year i think)
Kimi............. I know what I'm doing just let me drive

Regarding the general dislike of Vettel and how his arrogance is perceived by the British public, it's not too dis-similar to the British perception of Senna back in the day (before '94 and the subsequent donning of rose tinted glasses by the majority) albeit without the kamikaze/dangerous driving style in order to defeat his competitors.
Note: I am a massive Senna fan (and always will be) and am not for one second suggesting that Vettel has anywhere near the natural ability that Senna possessed however I am of the opinion that he (Senna) would have benefited from a slap from time to time, and feel that Vettel could do with the same.

I agree with that and I actaually think that the team Bosses at RedBull are partially to blame. For me when he disobeyed team orders and overtook Webber he should have been slapped by the team. I would have made a very public statement at the next round. When he came in for a pitstop every member off the pitcrew would have stood there for 10secs before touching his car.
'I don't care who you think you are or how good you are. You are an employee of RedBull. End of'.

Vettels only hope of getting the public to stop hating him, not saying they will like him but....Is to give a win back to Mark without team orders and publically admit that he was wrong.

There were some interesting views raised during the drivers interviews over the last day or so regarding Vettel's Redbull.
Lewis made reference to the fact that the Redbull can get on the power 20m before every other car on the grid and went as far as to say that the last time that he was able to do that was back in 2007 or 2008 when he had the benefit of traction control.

I do recall that the entire fields ECU's are supplied on contract by McLaren and are sealed from the factory so therefore as Christian Horner stated in a subsequent interview, it's impossible for them to be tampered with.

Alonso then states in an interview that Redbull clearly have something that others don't, however it must be legal (whatever it is) as they pass scrutineering.

For me Singapore confirmed it, Vettel is not head and shoulders above the rest of the field as far as natural driver ability go's and yet he was still able to pull away from the rest of the field with ease

I don't see that Adrian Newey has devised some crazy aero package that gives a 2 second per lap advantage over the rest of the field, several tenths maybe but certainly not seconds

If it was just Hamilton moaning then I would say 'yeah fine, it's a bit of bitterness at not having the complete package of the Redbull' but it does seem that a large proportion of the drivers and teams feel that the Redbull is using some form of technology that gives a significant advantage that they simply cannot compete with

It'll be interesting to see what comes of this in due course

i read the same today as well mate.
it goes back to the git gets more of an advantage than webbers car not having the same equipment for me.

we all know in the tuning world that you can add a piggy back ECU onto another ecu and it can be hidden quite well without others knowing its there.

so as for Christian say you carnt tamper with them he knows that but that comments translates to me as we have another way round it.

Adrian newey is a remarkable engineneer and is not adverse to putting things on cars that are contensious, you can as far back as 93 when at Williams with there suspension set up that in 94 got banned, don't get me wrong brawn is the same its there job to exploit gray areas.

It's been explained that Redbull have worked closely with Renault in designing this years unique 'cylinder cut off' system that from what I understand, ensures the engine only runs on 4 cylinders when required (ie. when exiting a corner) without damaging the engine. Maybe this in conjunction with the 'blown diffuser' that they have admitted to (albeit within the 10% that is permitted within the rules) possibly could go someway to explain the Vettel Redbull performance over the rest of the field.

How exactly they quantify 10% I have no idea? However the cylinder cut off system would I suppose be legal?

Whatever the pros and cons of Vettals advantage over the field he is rapidly destroying the entertainment value of F1 as a spectator sport ably abetted by circuit design that encourages high speed rolling road blocks

Not wishing Vettel any serious ill will but I'm just saying, how much more interesting would the rest of the 2013 season be if Korea resulted in Vettel enduring a re-run of Schumacher Silverstone 1999?

Nothing serious, just a simple mundane broken leg or fractured arse cheek etc.....just to see the Championship thrown wide open and to see Webber get all the Redbull Gucci toys for the rest of his last season in F1

Red Bull have been forced into making a statement that says they fully support Vettel's new team mate for the 2014 season and that he will get exactly the same level of support and equipment that Vettel has .
So to quash any talk of favouritism Red Bull have released a picture of Ricciardo's new ride for the 2014 .:D
