It is indeed Matt :)

My first visit to Santa Pod was in August, with the car still set up for track. I ended up running a 12.04 @120mph.

Thanks Chris,

It's running 404hp at the wheels at 1.1 bar. It was built and mapped in 2005 but unsure who by. The car is Max's old rx7, and believe it still holds the record around the N

In that case it will have been Max who built it himself and tuned at Reworx. Cant remember if he used to work there or knows the guys very well. A great car.

Thanks for the info re undertray mate. What sort of temps were you seeing on the track ?

First off i must thank Stuart for inviting Team Extreme to this event. It was a very good day out, everybody enjoyed themselves and managed to pick up some really useful info along the way. (thanks again Stuart)

The orange(was silver) RX7 was indeed built and tuned by Max, Geff and Chris at Reworx. Max is good friends with Geff and Chris and used to work at Reworx occasionally. The engine was built and tuned around 7 years ago and has been pushed hard so has done extremely well. It holds the record for the fastest RX7 around the Nurburg and is indeed a legend within the knowing circles.

Matt (conair) bought it and so far has done some changes with paint colour and a couple of body mods to get it how he wants it.....which indeed looks awesome. The intention with the car is yet to be established (Matt cant make up his mind) but rest assured whatever it is, it will be done right in the Team Extreme style.

V mounts are not used that much with drag racing but there is no reason why they cant be.

Anything you want to know with regards this car, Team Extremes back halved Rx7 drag car or any Team Extreme motors please dont hesitate to ask.

Thanks for your interest

Gary Gooding
