Trackday Tyres - any experience?

Pilot SC's may be good as they are designed for cars with a higher kerb weight too, so will have stronger sidewalls. Chris Wilson, whilst not everyone's cup of tea, is one of those guys that really knows his stuff so an endorsement from him will be pretty good.

As for that tyre firm, they are based in Sudbury so maybe your Dad could pop along and suss them out? (Good old Dad

RSR's would be a waste of time on yours mate. Driftworks used them (briefly) on the S15 but they were changed so regularly it wouldn't matter. As you suggested, the 201's would be better.

Yeah I was thinking that, they're built for the heavier cars. Also agree on the Chris Wilson comments (both).

Could always ring Kumho and see if they will name names about who they supply/support that has similar power to weight

Yes, the RSR would be too tame for you. The 201 suits the heavier cars with great side wall strength. I have a customer with a track spec E46M3 who swears by them. Don't go off like 888's

i use the kumho escts v70 on my track car, theyre excellent once warm and take a few minutes to reach temperature. definitely better than the 888 once up to temperature.
my car weights 1320, plus driver if thats any help to you.
