Comfy on the sofa, so no fresh photos

Went to GSF car parts in Norwich and bought a new Bosch MAF. A really easy swap and instant improvement in the way the car drove. By the time the car had stood for a while at Snett, it was long enough for the ECU to 'learn' it had a new MAF and the engine management light went out, coinciding with performance returning to normal
Yesterday, I set about the odd mirrors and masked up for a quick paint job. I didn't have long as we were due out for BBQ about lunchtime. Masked up and ready to go, my curiosity got the better of me and the rust bubbles on the bonnet's leading edge were picked at. Then dug at. Then rubbed down with a drill attachment

The small rust bubbles hid four holes!! This then meant that I had a bonnet with more holes than a tea bag, and three hours to get it repaired before we went out. Long story short, some P40 fibreglass repair and some filler, some rubbing down, some swearing and more liberal spray can stuff and bosh!!! Fixed (kind of) and good to go.
The car is running well, handling well, braking well, looks OK and sounds.............silent! I need a dove from above and 3" system
