Wierd there was a silver wrx at Benwaters running 1A tyres but he was running in D8 class.....only thing he had done was take out all his seats.....wonder why he was running in that class???? I would have thought he would have been better keeping his seats in and running in B3 instead :?

Andy was telling me that I would need to run in the fancy tyre class with mine (if I did them that was :) ) - cos the Bridgestone RE070's are classed as 1B's

Weird seing as they are OE tyre fitment.

There's, quite often, not a great difference in top times between the two classes. The weight of the seats aren't going to give much advantage by removing them.

Sure the tyres weren't Yoko Parada? A few people were caught out with those, I believe.

070s are 1a. John Start used them to good effect last year on his Evo and questioned my Yoko A048s

Exactly..no, they looked like Toyo T1-R's to me....

Yup RE070's are listed as 1A tyres...hmm, might have to get some of them!

Good luck to all. If it does rain you'll be in with a chance for FTD with the single seaters spinning off into the scenery.

See you in the morning :-D

Big up to Gerry H, another JISC competitor with an MSA class victory to their name (in adverse conditions)! We have one at every event so far!

Logan and Ben both with good results, nice to see Lloyd and Andy916 come down for a look, I think they have made the decision to apply for speed licences also.

Apologies for the duff steer on RE070s Dunc, I honestly thought they would be categorised as track day tyres (1b). The Quenby scooby seemed to go OK on them as it got FTD! :-D
