Looking good Dan.

There was a pic of a Lab on the back of a car on the wheel cover I remember seeing, looked awful. Keep it plain and simple mate.

Cheers Gareth. :) I will be doing this just as an OE cover. Only the factory type decals etc will be going on this.

So, this morning the top cover has now been dressed, all scrapes and scuffs have been buffed out with the orbital sander and now coated in white primer. :D

Even in primer, looks much better than the manky gold colour! Next step will be to address the rear cover before we move onto silver painting, lacquering and refitting the refurbished catches.

Thanks Ben-o

Ventured back into the workshop this afternoon to progress with this. :)

^ Started work on the rear cover by firstly cleaning it and assessing what needs to be filled.

^"Full strength wood..." ( ;) ) helping me hold the cover in place as I sand it down with the orbital.

^ Back to the front cover, gave it a couple of coats of silver. Really happy with how this has come out.

^ Next stage will be to give a couple more coats to this before adding a few layers of lacquer.

Nothing wrong with long flexable flaps at all Stu. ;)

Yeah the white 'Pajero' lettering will stand out quite well Rob. I did a 1:1 paper cut out and layed it on the cover to check.
