For the love of God.........I go out for the day and return to find my compadre bolting balsa to his car

FFS Dunk, do it properly. Do you have templates or were you just gonna wing it? Do you actually need it or is this just a perceived thing?

With the greatest amount of respect in the World, you are not the most practical person in the world and I can see this ending in tears.

Your undertray idea had some validity but this seems like a lash up. Sorry I can't be more supportive.

* When you try and make this and fit it, can I be there to watch? Promise I won't laugh :D

Hi Duncan,

Looks like you are getting stuck in 8)

I was on the dyno yesterday with Steve mapping a customers car we have built. Very similar spec to the engine you are having, turbo spec is slightly different (base car is a UK MY99).

It made 504bhp @ 1.65 bar, full boost @ 3500rpm. No AVCS.

Good luck with the fabrication. Before you start making holes in you car find some way to temporarily mounting it in place and leave it there for about a day. That way you can get used to how it looks and decide whether or not you like it.

Thanks Pablo - good point

I am also looking at some composite materials for the construction of this to satisfy our wood hating friends :D (it not like they use plywood in F1 is it ;) )

Got the guy coming back to me this morning on a blend of aluminium and ABS plastic which might be pretty 'motorsport' :D
