Gerry H wrote:It's rather naive to think that the TG stunts aren't choreographed as no way that caravan park episode was for real. It's just an entertainment programme with cars and ought to come out of the closet and be renamed the Jeremy Clarkson show.

Still bloody entertaining and more so when the alternatives are things like Strictly Cum Dancing, I'm a (failing) Celebrity Get ......... and enough cookery programmes to cause a famine.
:iagree:I totaly agree! Yes it is what it is.... A car themed programme. If people snub it or turn their backs on it, then chances are it will get axed just like 5th gear! Personaly i can`t stand any of the reality shite or the soap drivel that otherwise cloggs up the telly channels!:cuss:
But then maybe i am biast?.....As Harry has said we are off too dunsford to see the filming on wednesday!.......... Again!:D

this is not a case of me being anti topgear by any stretch of the imagination i have enjoyed it for many years but it is a concern of mine that without a freshen up we are in danger of loosing the only motoring programme we have left, its all about numbers guys not sentiments if the numbers do not add up in viewing figures etc in the future the mighty hatchet will be swung and i for one do not wish to see this happen.;)

Well i do feel a little short changed (so to speak) Harry and i went to see the live filming of the show last week, Which as there was no show last sunday the filming was for the last one in the series to be aired on the 3rd of jan. I am mighty grateful to harry for getting us the tickets (again!:D) But i wish it had been this weeks that we had seen. The nobel m600 looked fantastic, and it would have been nice to have met our jenson!- instead the star in the reasonably priced car was some guy called sea sick stu or steve or something? The (350k!) lexus lfa was in the studio, but due to some numpty scratching and causing 100k worth paint damage to an f1 car with the keys hanging off his belt, you can no longer sit in and play with any of the cars in the studio.:( Also the filming has moved to a bigger hangar and when i last went (july 05) There was only about 1-200 of us. Now there is 800! So it seemed to have lost some of the intimacy, last time the guys were floating around the crowd when off camera, smoking (they all do) and chatting. My wife thinks james is lovely! Because at the time she was just pregnant with our son and nearly fainted (it was july and mega hot under the lights)- james came over too check she was alright. Now as soon as the camera`s are down the guys are off presumably out back having a fag? Don`t get me wrong it is still a great day out and i would recommend anyone going if given the chance, I had just been pinning my hopes on the star being cherly cole!:drool5: Anyone else was going to be a let down!:D
Is it too late to ask santa for an M600?

Yes it was a good day but what a lemon of a Star in a Banger Sea Sick Sid or something odeous like that.

Just finished a book about a racing driver called Perry McCarthy recons he was the Stig

M600? think you may have left it a bit late asking for this but if we can drum up some sponsorship maybe in 2050 you could afford one Team M600 Racing has a certain ring about it
