Awesome stuff Mr H, the forged pistons explains the resistance to detonation, I noticed the alloy wishbones when I checked under the car before I bought it.

One other suggestion, before doing any hard driving, replace the fuel pump for a Walbro or you may suffer fuel starvation and det.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!

your bringing back horrible expensive memorys gerry ,
get it on the dyno before the track, i learnt the hard way for the sake of a
Small one's are more juicy

Apparently it had a new pump 2K miles ago, type is not specified.

I'll chuck a wideband gauge on it and datalog :D
