I don't find multiple tabs that great because you need to wade through them looking for the page that may be hidden in there. I find myself with a number of pages, each with a number of tabs, each with backward browsing, that makes finding something you looked at earlier a PITA. Looking in history is much simpler IMO. Also, using Vista with it's multi page view, you only get the current page view, so again, the tabs are concealed.

Or do I just like moaning and resist change?

Couldn't see any advantage over ie.
It didn't have my history, which meant having to log into each site inc. BP. Links in emails brought up an error pop up.
Didn't see the point in re-learning another system
Thought it best to dump it before Liz, who's a bigger IT numpty than me, gives me grief.
i.e. wasn't broke so nothing to fix. :)

Well, the installer wouldn't have been able to import your entire browsing history, incl. saved passwords (which would have been a little bit insecure if you ask me?!), but if you clear the cookies on your PC or use another computer you have to re-login to sites so it's no biggie surely?

The main advantage with Firefox is it's extendible and therefore with the right add-ons it is:

more useful - e.g. you can add a dictionary to your browser.

more feature-filled - e.g. save streaming video e.g. You Tube videos to your PC.

much safer - e.g. block malicious scripts to prevent nasty stuff happening on web pages which can knacker your PC or steal personal info.

quicker - e.g. blocking adverts means you don't waste time and bandwidth downloading stuff you don't want.

At least IE 8 when it comes out will be up to speed with Firefox on some of these points.

states that any pictures, vids etc that you put on the web with chrome, google gain the copyright to them

Having now read the Terms of business for myself, and although they are heavily stacked in Google's favour it doesn't say that at all. It says the opposite!!

9.4 Other than the limited licence set forth in Section 11, Google acknowledges and agrees that it obtains no right, title or interest from you (or your licensors) under these Terms in or to any Content that you submit, post, transmit or display on, or through, the Services, including any intellectual property rights that subsist in that Content (whether those rights happen to be registered or not, and wherever in the world those rights may exist). Unless you have agreed otherwise in writing with Google, you agree that you are responsible for protecting and enforcing those rights and that Google has no obligation to do so on your behalf.

I must make a note to myself to read these things for myself before i post replies!!
All that got changed after the first day due to the fuss that was kicked up.

I had no idea that was the case. So my initial reply was correct then.....they were taking the piss!!

Yeah, their lawyers admitted to copying and pasting the EULA from other Google services and not reading it... If they don't, how do they expect us to?!
