Some valid points but think of it more as an indication of what will be available in the future, disregard the model specifics of price and eco-isms. The costs inevitably come down and the features improve but the Tesla still show great progress in my opinion.
The Tesla is definately a way forward and what a good looking way forward it is
Just like now we have petrol, diesel and LPG i have no doubts that certainly in my lifetime it will be electric, hydrogen or nuclear.....or if you happen to be a Star Trek fan....Dylithium Crystals!!

what happens when it runs out of charge and your on a 1000 mile journey? Does it take 12 hours to recharge etc? The point on the emmissions required to produce the elctricity is a good point as well plus if everyone had one imagine what would happen to the grid , it just wouldnt cope.
Nice looking car but bio diesel type technology is more likely to be a more sustainable future fuel and we already are seeing some very quick diesels on the track etc.
