Are you doing this to get the underside of the car totally stripped? You must be bored! :D

yes hopefully going to have a good go at the underneath will do some seam welding on the chassis once its all cleaned off.

And yes will stop me getting bored over the winter.

Well now the shell is stripped the work can begin.

started by removing the rain tray which wasn't that bad drilled all the welds and then chiselled the rest off this allows me to weld in a better strut brace

Next up was the job i was not looking forward to in all the cars ive had never gone this far but with all ths others they had alot more power.

And as weight is a big enemy to low powered cars its a cheap way to power.

Took about hour and a half with a heat gun scrapper and a wire wheel on a grinder was pleased with the out come.

Going to collect it all up and weigh and the end.

Hopefully next saturday should have drivers side floor pan and rear finished which iam not looking forward to

i'v lost all interest in cars at the moment, i had to fit a new heater fan in the wifes mk4 today, that was a chore

i plan to get stuck in over xmas though and pull jaffa to bits

what are you going to cover the metal with mike once its all stripped ?

Just fit a 20v 1.8t and leave the soundproofing on ;) :nod: I agree with Trev at the moment; zero interest in car friggery. Much prefer to see how comfy I can get on the sofa.
