Keep us posted mate
Re: TNTRacing - XRCosworth Classic & Retro Time Attack Champions
The turbo's off the car and will shortly be sent off to Turbo Dynamics to be rebuilt and possibly upgraded. Then who knows, we might even add in a couple more psi of boost. WELL THAT ALL WENT PEAR SHAPED

You'll be breaking the 500 bhp barrier at this rate mate, what is your clutch/gearbox good for out of interest?
Re: TNTRacing - XRCosworth Classic & Retro Time Attack Champions
Clutch is good for 500+, gearbox however is already past it's rated limit
. We need a big toothed gear kit at around £2500 for a good condition 2nd hand unit.

well between working on the garage and in the garage things are coming on nicely.
fitted the ARB polybushes but snapped a bolt in the chassis rail so had to dig the remainder of the nut and bolt out and replace it which was a pain in the backside.

the adjustable have been fitted as well at standard length for now until we can get 3degrees set up on them

also while under the car doing the ARB I notice a small hole about the size my little finger and as we are having some welding done to the car tomorrow thought I would clean the area up for a small patch to go on
however with any old ford (Hay Dan) its never small.
pulled the carpet back and found this

so ended up cutting more out than first anticipated being careful not to cut into the gearbox

so cleaned up the area and fabricated some plates to go over it

plates have been cleaned up ready to weld into place.

Had a nice surprise today the turbo is back from being rebuilt. Thanks to our new sponsor Turbo Technics

Are you guys pretty much sorted now?
Re: TNTRacing - XRCosworth Classic & Retro Time Attack Champions
Still got a fair bit to get done but it's looking fairly good at the moment. 2 things that we desperately need are coilovers and a big toothed gearbox. Had I not been out of work for 3 months we'd be in much better position or if sponsors hadn't let us down at the 11th hour, but that's life as they say. We are hoping, planning and aiming to have the coilovers shortly after round 1.
As for the gearbox, which is the only thing stopping us from running 500+, well I can't see that happening to be honest.

I suppose there will always be things that could be improved. If it's not gearbox and suspension then it'll be brakes and tyres, turbos and clutches etc.
You came out on top last season with less than you have now (and a good dose of bad luck to boot) so no reason that you can't do the same this season.
Any improvements that can be made I would view as little bonuses rather than essential requirements and potential setbacks.
Have you been keeping tabs on the other competitors in your class?
