Well what can iI say! that was so much FUN even though I was a little worried when smoke started comimg from my car!!
I think I worked out the problem for some reason me, the stupid twat left off the battery clamp which is why it made it's way over to the intercooler pipe!!! the funny thing is I only had it MOT'd a week ago. oopps
Anyways all sorted now and very lucky that nothing went bang/pop.

Thanks to everyone involved and I look forward to the next event.

Phil

That was fun. A fine first outing for me and er... Nigel (as my littleuns have named the little 182, Yes that 182 from Russes thread.. updates to follow). Once i'd figured out to turn the T/C off it was a laugh, although it took a while to witch brain into fwd mode, clobbering the pedal when understeering dosnt really help :/ It really is a very pointly little car, very eager to go and much easier to launch than the laggy old datsun.

Should have done more runs but manflu drove me inside to warmth and lasagne.

Whats next then guys? more autotests, drag event? drifting, track evening? more more more!

If you need something shooting, or a payload to low earth orbit. Just ask.

Daniel, I'd love drift as well, only problem is, there are a lot of people who are front wheel drive now (Just look how many last night were FWD)
and while you and I know it's for girls, we should nt marginalise them:smilielol5:

Says the "big man" whos antique does nt have power steering so he could not manage the hairpin of the autocross!!

Well we could give the FWD boys a couple of bread crates each to tie to the rear wheels and lock the handbrake on :D

A couple of bits of lift off or entry power oversteer do not a drifter make.......I should know

Drift events are good fun and we've run these successfully in the past; I'll be honest, I'm not sure that we have sufficient numbers of people to run these again but I would be delighted to be proven wrong.

June's meet is still to be decided upon so if anyone would like to give us some feedback, please do and do so quickly :D
