FD3S Single Turbo Build(Kinda)
KU39's are the newer model so it's theoretically replaced the KU31 at the top of the 'normal tyre' tree. Hope that helps.

Yeah I thought you were saying 'up yours rotary!!' in the first pic mate !! Have to agree with Chris that it doesnt look like you at all.
Yeah any airfield is a stonechip haven. Glad to hear the Rex went well though.

Get yourself an artists paint brush kit and some touch up paint Dom. It's so easy if you take your time and the results can be pretty effective, and certainly way cheaper than a respray

Update....
I have taken the Rex off the road as something exhaust side was leaking again...Took everything off and found that the manifold had cracked again, also I was pretty sure the v band between the turbo and DP wasent sealing.
After some banter on FD:UK, it turns out my car was not mapped how I thought. A fella from the shop were alot of the work for my car was done commented on my build thread... turns out my car was running a generic map supplied by Jay D, not a tailored map which is what I had been lead to believe... AH! Then things started to click into place....
I have always felt the car was generating too much heat, then when I took everything off it looks like its got worse (due to the restriction of the silencer and plumbed in waste gate). Doing some more reading and chatting to some rotor heads (ED RX7 is a legend btw) defo sounds like I was running too hot due to incorrect timing. The timing would have always been out abit due to the exhaust changes I made, but this has been magnified because they were out already. This will also explain why the manifold has been eating itself and also why I struggled to keep the exhaust leak free as alot of the mating faces have been breaking up or warping...
After some thinking I have decided to change my turbo kit to something more responsive and with a less savage power delivery, in a nutshell a smaller turbo. At Marham I found it quite hard to get the power down as its delivered in one big splodge, also lag was an issue which has been bought on by the exhaust changes. I wanted to sample what smaller turbo kits are like on the FD's, I went out in John B's RX7 and was pleasantly surprised.
Sod it I thought, smaller turbo it is.... (obviously a new map as well)
While I am doing all this, I am looking at getting a new engine loom as the one in there is 20+ years old and I dont want to chuck any more money at the car without being sure the wiring isnt going to let me down.
Also, the engine sump is leaking slightly so I am going to sort that as well.
Its abit of a kicker as I was looking forward to getting some track days under my belt but I really need to get all this sorted before I get really stuck in.
