Whilst the wheels are off the car, you should really do the backs of the wheels too
FD3S Single Turbo Build(Kinda)
Yeah, use a damp microfibre cloth and dab some Autosol on there (Not much!!!!) Use two fingers behind the cloth and press at a steady pressure until the cloth changes colour or you can't feel your fingers; whichever occurs first

Just got back from Marham, utterly knackard so if any of this post doesnt make sense I apologise!
Really good event, so well run and slick... I will be going to any future events at marham for sure. All the work I have done on the Rex has payed off, I feel alot more confident in the car and myself. I reminded myself why I bought an RX7, the handling and the balance. I have got a couple of things which I need to address however... first one... the manifold is blowing again
which is not a surprise so I will need to look at that. I think I might have to speak to the guys at power and performance and look at options.
Secondly (and something I really could do with some advice on) I am running Federal 595's on the car and I found after two hard laps or so they felt like they were made of jelly. Could it be due to the surface at Marham? Or could it be I am simply overworking them? I found I had a window of about 3 laps (after warming them for 1-2 laps) where I could push. After that it felt like I was loosing grip and it lead to some interesting moments! I soon found I just had to come in after that, maybe I am expecting too much from a road tyre? I was keeping an eye on pressures and was running 30 on the front and 28 on the rear.

Great to hear that your day went well (and of course the Rex too). In terms of the tyres the only thing I can think of is that if tyres have load of tread on them they may have just been moving around too much on the tread blocks. From memory the shoulders are pretty soft on that model of tyre......this won't help.
All I can suggest is that you contact Federal direct and see what they reckon to your pressures bearing in mind the weight of the car, the suspension you use, amount of camber etc etc. Different drivetrains, weights of car, suspension type and settings......they all bugger up any objective comparisons
I bet that sounded fecking awesome roaring its tits off at Marham
