I have been interested to see how this looks because my old Impreza has some flaky wheels and the paint is coming off the side mirrors , intercooler scoop and the roof is starting to lose its colour . I was thinking about doing the bits black and as your Henry looks pretty good with the black wheels and wing mirrors i might just do the same .Pete:Chevy_anim:

Thanks Pete.
I got Simoniz Gloss paint for peanuts off eBay, and I can't rate it highly enough. The seller was a great bloke and I had them delivered within 48hrs. I've not been able to polish them yet to see how it reacts to polish, but early impressions are very favourable.

I'd say go for it, two tone is the new white ;)

Thanks for that i will get some cans . My impreza is silver so i think if i black the wheels and other bits then it would look good , i do actually have just enough 2K black to do the roof but that will have to wait till it warms up i bit . Pete:Chevy_anim:

How many cans did it take to do your wheels and did you need to use an undercoat or anything ,the 2K black is whats left over from when i did the Camaro . Pete:Chevy_anim:

I'm always short of time, so I rubbed the silver back to a fairly smooth surface, then tack cloths, then about 1 and 1/4 cans of black did the four wheels and two mirrors. It does seem to go a very long way for aerosols. (It is 500ml per can as opposed to the smaller halfrauds stuff)

That looks really good Rob, gives it a much meaner look:nod:

Alan's away today, i think, but at a guess i'd say yes he's serious. The man does not know how to chill out and do nothing:D

So fresh from the rolling road day at AP-T what have I learned?
That Stu CAN cook.....
That Gary and co have the patience of saints
There is a future for BP in these financially troubled times
The TNT lads have shit luck (I'm never ever doing anything remotely dangerous with them, because it WILL go wrong:nod:)
That my little starfleet Leon is nt too far off factory power, even with it being owned by not one but two Staples:D

It looks like it needs a new MAF thanks to Adam and Gary's expertise, but it's not fortunes.
What's odd is the car went like a rocket on the way home, so maybe it's not totally fooked just yet!! (I'm kidding myself, and have a new one lined up)

My front end looks like it's been peppered, but will leave any remedial paint till after Marham.
Are there any other things you old boys think I should also attend to first?
It's had a reasonable service, I'm not looking to set any new records or anything, just want to be involved (novel for me I know), have a laugh and see what the old girl will do top end without losing my job:Angel_anim:

Rob, why not just get a 'carbra' .. that will save having to paint the front edge? ...
