Thanks for the offer Tk, but fingers crossed I should be ok :grin:
I've just heard back from the organisers and it seems that if i'm over the minimum weight (without driver) I should be ok.

I went to the VW cup meeting and saw a MKII that had been selectively attacked with a hole saw and thought that I would do the same.

I've also got to hook up the rear number plate lights and down-size the brakes to the original 8v spec (280mm to 239mm!).
