Feed Back on Brake Pads?

We use Ferodo DS2500. They work well on and off the track but do suffer from heavy track work. We took ours out last year as I wanted to check how they were wearing. Loads of meat left if fact they hardly looked worn but were cracked and crumbling.
We are now fitting brake ducting to help with cooling and plan to change them again mid season.

Since when has Bart been using the middle pedal????

Myself and Gary now use Mintex race pads. Fancy remember the exact compound but they are very very good. Having tried most of the others I have to say these sre my preceded for bite and feel!

I'll try and remember and ask Gary. The other upside is they aren't that expensive!

Better price than Yellowstuff? but maybe a little aggressive or less effective as a Road/Track pad you are more than a tad quicker than me

find E&C very inconsistent in general.......

depends how aggressive you are on temps/friction but the likes of Pagid rs29, rs15 (or new RST3), PFC 07/08 (or newer 11/13), Mintex F4R, etc. are all very capable of hard track use......

as major UK distributors for all of the above as well as Ferodo Racing, etc. then we normally have a "deal" to suit

Thanks Stockcar, I am not particularly heavy with my braking but pads must be useable on road as well as track, I will be sorting the pads out over the next few weeks

I have Ferodo's DS2500 on my Rx7, I am not that hard on the brakes (havent been going fast enough lol!) and I have had a couple of track days out of them. I wouldn't use anything else, the modulation on them is very good. However from what I have heard if you do long stints on the track and you are nailing the brakes you will start to get fade with them.

ds2500 is a good fast road pad but struggles at high temps under arduous track use..........
