Yes Rob, but thgat is where it gets even better. A guy had one built by Talon Sportcars a few years back and managed to get it on a kitcar register as they are remanufactured from a donor like a kitcar. They are very cheap to insure for the performance.

I appreciate a lot of work has gone into it, but under that outer shell it is not really a Metro anymore.
The K series was designed to be fwd and to convert to rwd a la Caterham etc you need some special bits like sump etc. The engine sits very high and look where the throttle body ends up!
I don't really like it, I am afraid mate. The Metro works fine as fwd as some of you have seen
