I agree with Ben's sentiments, the bloke was being a little aggressive jumping back in like that, he's obviously not a novice, so should have known better, even with Marshalls doing their job.
Bloody quick car though, must take some people by surprise!

It would be impolite for me to comment on the merits on driving a car that hard amongst owners that are less inclined to thrash their cars, as many of them clearly were. The above is something that I have been guilty of many a time, proving that I'm prepared to bend my car when others around me aren't. Does that mean I'm quicker? On that given day, in those circumstances......yeah, probably. Does it mean that I'm a better driver? Who knows? Questions like 'How hard were people driving?' and 'What risks are they prepared to take?' should be taken into account first before announcing Matey in his overspecced shopping car as Knockhill's answer to Senna or me as Snett's answer to Lightning McQueen (I know you weren't Eddy)

Yes, not really sure what the cones are for. Perhaps to stop late overtaking into the bends or to help show the smoothest line. What was your idea with the cones then James?

Everyone at work agrees, the cones are dangerous and are a big no no on track-days, test days whatever. A circuit is granted a license to run as it is, by putting cones out this alters the license and therefore invalidates everything as it shifts run off requirements, speeds and width.

Obviously they don't want people overtaking into corners, but putting cones out is leaving no margin for error, which sadly on track-days is common thing.

If someone gets it wrong, hits a cone, knocks it in the path of someone else who swerves into you or off the track into the tyres/armco there will be problems..
