very interested to hear how you get on with that car your going to see keep us informed mate. if its 2.0L DOHC i know of far few mods can do to them and get more power.

Excellent, I would have preferred a Pinto, but finding one of those locally is proving hard, so may take you up on the offer of advice. There is a Cossie styled one in Basildon (about 1/2 hr from me) but it's a little pricey, and may well get nicked as it does look the part. (I'm not paying Cossie insurance without a YB under the bonnet)

ouch! But a proper time capsule car. We have a mint mk4 round here that comes out in the summer complete with reto janspeed exhaust. It sounds so distintive that everytime it comes down the street i hack wifey off by saying "escort rs!" and go to the window pulling back the curtain and stating "told yur!":D
