Sorry to hear about what I presume is impending strife Pete. Not good although I have to say I was banned years ago for speeding (totting up) and it was the kick up the arse that I needed.
In terms of the ban, how long are you likely to be banned for? When is the event? Who is the TDO and where is it?
I know of a couple of circuits that don't normally ask for licences; there are a few that allow for people to run on track if they have a race licence instead too.
Best of luck

Hi mate
It happened on thursday just gone
so just trying to get info for on what i could be in for
the police man that stop me said cos of the speed i would get a ban!!
He said i was doing 92mph in a 30......... i dont see how cos my van take a long long time to get to 90mph so i'm going to see what happens...
I wanna see footage of me going this speed.
And before anyone starts" 92 in a 30 you should be ban"
It was on the A13 heading out of town on the canning town flyover. It's a 30 on the flyover but the tunnel before is a 30 too so for my van to go 30 to 92 in 100 meters ( ha i wish ) just wouldn't happen
My bloody 2 subarus couldn't even do that
So will see........

Bloody hell......
OK, without getting holier than thou;
How did the Police measure your speed? Was it from a vascar unit (did they track you in a car?)
Did the Police give you a ticket and if so, what does it have on it? Normally for a speed of that nature they would have done the full verbal caution 'anything you say can be used as evidence' etc etc

suggest you contact Milamber, over on snet.
Unfortunately I have had several similar experiences over the last couple of years.
Anything 30mph over the speed limit is likely to be a ban, unless you can prove
Neil, perhaps if you read the original question, you'll see why people offered their opinions.neilK wrote:
But seriously talk to Milamber, and maybe Addidas, for some real guidance rather than just peoples opinions
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!

Pete,
understand fully regarding snet, by contact, I meant by pm, both Chris and Ed can give you genuine advice.
I know this helped stop me overly worrying about the outcome, and indeed allowed me to prepare for work whilst banned.
Remarkably, once past Gary M at KM was brilliant, and allowed me to retain the scoob.
Gerry,
Ok, my reply was very much aimed at dealing with the potential police / court action.

Not being funny, but even if the coppers claim of 92mph was out, it wouldn't be 60mph out, he must have felt that you were stomping along to have claimed that speed. I can't pretend to be the worlds most sensible driver, I've had a ban myself, but aside from the what the law states, speeding in a 20/30/40mph limited area by such a considerable margin is ridiculous.
I know this is essentially off-topic and I'm sorry about that, but I wanted to state my views as I do feel strongly about them.
As for the license, as others have said, it depends on whether they actually take your license. I can't really remember what happened with mine, it was a good while ago now.
