That looked like a great day out and very well done to our Logan
How do the classes work Liam (do you have a link?) I'm interested to see how the MLR series create parity between the obviously different cars.
Some cracking photos too :thumb:

I hope you don't mind me UL this one

Was an interesting day, feckin cold tho! Some serious kit there!
My view is its much more relaxed than MSA Sprints, not 100% if this is a good thing tho, no-one checks the cars over etc.
Good to have more runs tho.
Stuart, classes are quite open, basically tyres are free, fuel is free.
Class 1. Must be standard ecu, 2 ltr and standard turbo
Class 2: 2 ltr, standard frame turbo ECU and verything else Free
etc

To put in perpective, my car was way under spec to the other Class 2 cars. And I think I was probably the only 1 in the top 10 running road tyres, defo think some decent soft compound tyres would have gained me at least 1 second a lap, that and some better suspension and I think i could of been nearer the top. All the front lads were on super soft rally inters etc! Also, in my class was a Group N Evo 8!! I beat the chap but that shows you how open the classes are
So was a chuffed with 8th, and 5th in class....well you know me, so no! But I'm not too stressed as I know I did okay with my ole bus with its mostly standard guise! I did have one chap ask how I was going so quick with Goodyear f1's on, he wondered if I was running funny pressures....when I replied they were standard pressures he was slighty shocked.
I think I'll give it a go next year if I can fund the above mods, see how I do then!

Logan i actually feel group 2 is so vast the std frame turbo allows everything from std up to forged 2ltr with a Evo 9gt or simliar turbo running 450/450
As you say tyres dampers and big brakes are the difference in many cases.
IMO if you put your car back to std with a Ralliart ECU running 350 you would clear the class.

The only way past 380 on your rods is risk it or the drop in forged rod option some are doing, with a mod on the std piston.blacky wrote:Seems a few people have the same thought, so I wonder if it'll change next year??
Good point on the ECU thing. Not sure I can be bothered tho! Its running nicely as it is. Maybe a 9 GT turbo would help a little but then maybe the bottom end will cry enough!!
I think that is what Knoxville has and he won the overall.
There is a thread going for feed back regarding 2009 all ready.
Looks like 09 will be quite interesting all round.
