So do you think it would have been a write off if it wasn't for the cage?

Thinking about how the cage is built into the car, the damage could have been a lot worse without it I reckon. All the grief with the Sparco cage must be worth it.

To echo many others, i am glad Gary is ok and the safety gear on the car worked as planned.

The comments on here and the hands on help that has been offered is testament once again of the camararderie on here that makes it such a special place to be not just for car related stuff but for friendship also.
