 Very dissapointed

Now that i have seen the new hatchback at my local stealer i can say what i say with conviction. Flared wheel arches, big wheels, a rear wing and other bits inside and out doesn't make it any better. They are still trying to polish a great big turd.

Old scoobs are much better and more purposeful looking. They really do look as though they want to drag you out of the pub and give you a bloody good pasting :upyours: , not 'more tea vicar', while holding your hand skipping through the tulips :gayfight:

Don't sell your old scoobs just yet as i feel used prices will be holding their own for some time to come, or at least as long as they keep the new ones looking like that!!

Shocking!! :smash:
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

Waiting now for another execution date!!:headhack:

Well, I am tending to think, aesthetic wise that teh new Impreza is a more resloved together design than the new Evo 10.

This Group N one shows what they will really look like, not just the press pics with massive 20" rims etc.

But the main thing will be how they drive in real life, we will just have to wait for the reviews :!:

Looks like the best interior I've seen from a Subaru before and at least as an occupant you wouldn't have to look at the outside. What a complete lash up. I am amazed that someone got paid to design that POS.

The rear lights are woeful, even Mike Payne couldn't like them ;) . The twin exit exhaust is a saving grace but the silhouette of the hatch is borrowed from the Civic type R. That wasn't a criticism.

The side profile is bland. Shades of BMW 1 series, the vent behind the wheel arch looks contrived.

The front of the car is the only angle that has any identity to it, a hint of Impreza DNA. Another opportunity lost in my humble opinion. Perhaps Mistubishi are doing the design work for Subaru now? It would explain the trend of successive models getting better in one manufacturer and worse for the other.

Still prefer the classic shape to be honest.

Its just horrid   .

I can't make my mind up whether it looks more like a Mazda or a BMW 1 series  .

Really like that - saw some pics of one of the test mules at the 'ring and it was on 3 wheels, inside rear lifting so the chassis must be fairly 'taught' shall we say.

Love the interior and have to say it does look the bollocks in silver - where do I sign

I think most people don't like it just because its not like the old shape Impreza, don't get me wrong, its no real looker, and the standard WRX looks shocking, but with the wide arches, big wheels and spolier etc I think it looks pretty decent.

The Evo, which I loved the promo pics, now, looks a tad awkward in its styling, the rear looks like a Seat, the front bumper looks odd with the large plastic lump in the middle, and if you look at a side view, the swage line is not continious.....

I don't think it's necessarily the departure from the old shape that's the problem, just that it's minging! Those rear light clusters for one are horrific. Was the designer stuck in a traffic jam behind a Ford Galaxy on the way to work that day?

I was never an Evo guy but I am for the new generations.

Cheers,
Alex

It looks like the iligitimate love child of a BMW 1 series, a Seat Leon and an Astra, with a bit of the new Civic thrown in just to mix things up a bit. Can't say this will be going anywhere near my christmas list.

I have always prefered the Evo but this has just strengthened my resolve on the subject.
I may be getting older but I REFUSE to grow up :D
